Hi @13.57.a Norman

My diagnosis is different and what I would say that worth mentioning to Haematology Team.

You can also reach out to the @BloodCancerUK-SupportTeam by email support@bloodcancer.org.uk

They are having sporadic issues with the phoneline hence reason for sharing email.

Hope that helps.

Good morning @13.57.a

Thank you for your post. We are sorry to hear about your diagnosis of Monoclonal gammopathy of unknown significance ('MGUS') and that you are experiencing some bruising. We can imagine this is an understandably worrying time for you.

Monoclonal gammopathy of unknown significance ('MGUS') does not usually cause symptoms itself and because you’ve noticed a significant number of bruises, including some now appearing on your neck and face, we would strongly encourage you to have this assessed as soon as possible. We would recommend contacting your GP for an urgent appointment or as @DuncanB has kindly suggested, direct contact with your haematology team, to let them know what has been happening and to see if they would like further assessment or review.

Take care, and do let us know how you get on.

Warm wishes,

Emma (support services nurse)

Just a little update from today I had more blood tests and urine test also being sent for a fat pad test heamatologist doesn’t think new symptoms are anything to do with my Monoclonal gammopathy of undetermined significance ('MGUS') which is good news

Thanks for coming back to let us know how you got on - that’s really good to hear. It sounds like your haematologist has taken things seriously, which is what you want.

I hope the rest of your results come back quickly for you. Do keep us posted if you’d like to, and if anything comes up in the meantime that you’d like to talk through, our Support Line is there on 0808 2080 888 (option 1) or support@bloodcancer.org.uk.
