Any news about authorisation of the preventative antibody treatment from the PROVENT study?

Thank you @CaroleCW for posting this.
One obvious flaw in the study is there appears to be no control group of un-immunocompromised individuals.

I know the NIHR press release doesn’t mention a comparator group of un-immunocompromised people but haven’t seen the detail of the Stravinsky study to know if there is or isn’t a control group . @GemmaBloodCancerUK do you have any details on this aspect of the study? Thanks

No rush, just that Helen above flagged it and I thought it was an interesting point to clarify

Hi @CaroleCW, I do hope you’re doing okay today. We’ve looked into this with the help of our Clinical Trials Support Service team. It looks as though the study is still in its early stages and is not as yet underway. It may therefore take some time before they’re able to release more details about it.

I appreciate this doesn’t answer your question at this stage but I hope it’s somewhat helpful to know for now.

Best wishes,
Tanya.
