I think his BMB will be after round 3. He really is no longer himself tho, so it is very sad. It’s like he isn’t there anymore sometimes. I feel like it has hit him so hard. We found out much more about his type of ALM and it did say the type he has (can’t remember the name) affects the central nervous system and can cause forgetfulness etc and I feel you can really see that in him sadly. Not sure if it will come back

Thanks so much, and I am SO sorry, I just saw your last reply which I missed (mega baby brain at the moment). I really hope he can recover we much as possible, hopefully if the chemo does it’s job then his brain will recover quickly. Fingers crossed for the biopsy results 
you are being so strong, but I know you don’t have a choice! How long is cycle 3 for your Dad? My Mum’s bloods still haven’t recovered, the neutrophils have been stuck at a very low level for weeks now despite injections to improve them, and the platelets/RBC are low too. Not sure when future cycles could happen. They don’t seem to be worried about relapse, they just think the bone marrow has got very tired from the treatment.
Oh I forgot to mention she is back at home now. It was a mild infection and responded quickly to the antibiotics so she was out after a day. I can’t believe your Dad has to go through A&E every time!! His team should really give you a number to call so they can admit him without you having to go through that. Everything is done directly through the oncology department here.
I know, it is so annoying and traumatic. We have asked but that is the protocol for our hospital unfortunately. I’m pleased your mum was in and out quickly. From what I hear it isn’t unusual for marrow to take some time to recover. Fingers crossed it starts to soon. Don’t ever be sorry either, you have a lot on your plate!

Hi! Thanks for checking in. The neutrophils have very slowly been coming up within the last week, she is still neutropenic but hopefully they will keep improving. Platelets are still very low and don’t seem to be going up and HGB is hovering in the 60s and 70s. I am hoping that the slow improvement in neutrophils means that the bone marrow is beginning to recover!
