I’m Erica, I was diagnosed in 2003 with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukaemia and I have been lucky enough to have been on watch and wait ever since. I went into complete shock and anxiety when I was diagnosed and for a very long time afterwards, I felt so alone even though I am blessed to have wonderful family and friends. Still today that feeling of anxiety comes whizzing back before medical appointments or when I hear or read about other blood cancer patients. Now I have found Bloodwise I feel it is also my family. I feel passionately in supporting other blood cancer patients, their family, friends and carers. I am honoured to be a Bloodwise Ambassador and I want to give something back and spread blood cancer awareness. I find this forum is jam packed with interesting, informative, supportive topics and posts by lovely people.
