Active Monitoring (watch and wait) - Ask the Nurses

Hi All. I just stumbled across this forum and after years of chronic fatigue and constantly being sick with various colds and sinus infections am in the midst of seeing if I only have Monoclonal gammopathy of unknown significance (MGUS) or have Myeloma. I have a Hema appointment this week. My vitamin b12 levels have been on the extreme low end of normal for a few years now despite eating a lot of meat, fish and eggs and I have worked with pesticides for decades. I am 52 with two young kids and a bit freaked out about finding out that it is blood cancer.

Yes, getting a diagnosis I think it is a really scary experience.
Before your appointment you have the opportunity to write down all your fears, questions and practicalities and I find that it focuses my mind at my appointments
