I’m Interested in making social connections with other ALL fighters in Yorkshire. I’m less than six months away from finishing my maintenance phase. It’s been over three years since I started chemo and I’ve been in remission for over two years. I’m also a gamer on Xbox and ps5 if that’s a good way to meet and chat to anybody. I’m M and in my forties.

Hello! @nintendo0011 im not from Yorkshire, I live in North Wales, but would L like to say hi and hope you can find some friends on this site, everyone is very welcoming and supportive. I’m just home from a stem cell transplant at the Christie, and not as active in here at the moment, as am very tired, but bt assured, someone will respond at some point x

Hello there @nintendo0011, welcome to the forum! I’m really sorry to read that you’ve been living with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL) and its treatments, although how amazing that you’ve been in remission! Good stuff.
I see you’ve been greeted already by dear Mike @GenesisDevice and @Byrnebaby and perhaps you’ve even found Mike on PS5?! May I ask how remission has felt after what I imagine was very intensive treatment? I live with a chronic type of blood cancer called Polycythaemia vera ('PV') which can’t be cured yet, but I sometimes wonder how it might feel to be ‘free’ of it!

Welcome. I’m the author of the 36 and diagnosed thread. I’m not Yorkshire I’m Hampshire but I’m also getting to the end of maintenance due to finish November after 3 years of treatment! Friday is my last spinal chemo and then it’s all tablets! I’m 39 now not so much into gaming these days but welcome to chat.
