That’s good X hope you both manage to bump in to each other on Thursday or Friday x
Hi @ChrisCKW, a bit achey but not bad thanks. Bit of a fight to get the vaccine as my records show that I have already had it but that’s another story!
I went via my GP and explained I needed a secure venue as was completely devoid of immunities and record would show I’d had 2 jabs already.
They organised it at specialist surgery who have been used for a couple of other similar extremely vulnerable patients. They’re happy to do next 2 jabs too xxxxx
@ChrisCKW it is so true ‘if you don’t ask you don’t get’, good for you saying your needs.
Hi, still waiting! Been here since 8:15 for bloods, appt was 9:30 xxxx
Hang in there @ChrisCKW, we seem to spend our life medically waiting.
Please do let us know how you get on and how your horrid huge haematoma is.
My head is still bleeding. but it is nothing only a drip really.
Stay safe xx
Oh Erica
Well the wait for a dressing change for my incision was another 75 mins, so I asked for the steri strips saline and gauze and am now home and going to do it myself xxxx
Didn’t see @Summertime There, but was very busy xxx
Oh missed you Chris. Im still here having fluids etc.
Hi @Summertime, how are you doing now? Hope that things have settled a little xx
Well done @ChrisCKW, I had bloods taken this morning and one of the phlebotomist was sneezing and coughing. I was trying to think what to say so I didn’t have her taking bloods but I was really stressed by it and I know I probably couldn’t have rejected her, what a flake I am. It really annoys me
Luckily I had someone else, phew…xxx
Just thinking about @Danmar and @Mayo57. I really hope that you are both ok. @Danmar you had such a rough time of it please look after yourself and @mayo you must be having your transplant now? Lots of love coming out to you both xx
@ChrisCKW, well done mate. Does haematoma have a name?
What about Ms Oozy or Mr Blue? might make it more personable ps my neutraphiles have gone to 2.6 today after lounging around in the 0.4s for weeks. Bit of a relief, they think it was the antibiotics that you take to prevent pneumonia that was suppressing them…
xx
I call it PITA @Lyn99
Felt like Rambo after cleaning, removing old steri stitches, cleaning and pushing wound together while I put fresh steri strips on
Sad I missed you Summertime - I did keep looking; hope your fluids have helped. Were you in one of the day units for that? I’m back again next Friday so will look for you xxx
Yes, @Lyn99 it would be lovely to hear from @Danmar and @Mayo57 if they feel up to it, I have been thinking of them and wondering how they are.
I would have frozen if I had a phlebotomist that was sneezing and coughing, I would be speechless, turned away and stopped breathing for however long my bloods took. I am a Cadbury’s flake too !!!
Take care and look after yourself. xxx
I think getting my head around things. Im feeling a bit confused, consultant said its the meds so is looking to reduce some meds a bit. Feel very tired but to be expected i suppose, still early days for me. Ive been to clinic today, next week Tues and Fri. I feel so relieved its over and im home but very weak, takes me an age to do anything and feel shaky. I took some washing upstairs the other day and ended up head butting the stairs. A bit scared xxx
I was looking for you too. Hopefully will find you next week.l be able to find you next week xxx
Honestly @Summertime everything is an enormous mountain to climb at first; it will get easier. We just are so impatient to get better; but you had a nasty case of Graft-versus-host-disease too, that will have zapped you. Xxx
Hi @Summertime, I expect you do feel very tired and shaky, just think what you and your body have been through.
Head butting the stairs sounds scary to me too.
Be kind to yourself and tiny steps. xxx
How can I send you my number then I can find you hopefully xxx
Oh @Summertime, not very nice to be confused, hope the meds reduction helps. Lots of Netflix, tea and take it really steady. Don’t try to do too much. Hope you have someone there to look after you and do the normal chores. xx
