Gutted after immunity test shows I have no antibodies after 3rd vaccination

That is so encouraging. I too had no antibodies after 3 jabs but a decent response after the 4th. I’m certainly not throwing caution to the wind but, as my consultant said, life is for living. So I’m cautiously meeting more people and in more environments. I thought it would be scary and that I would have forgotten how to socialise - but it just feels normal and SO good. Not sure I’ll be clubbing any time soon though!

Thanks so much @MountainGirl yes, I agree life is for living and I like the way that you are going about it, yes, perhaps we won’t go as far clubbing, but I am sure just meeting friends safely will seem normal and SO, SO good to me too.
For me I think big groups of people might be not a good idea and anyway feel overwhelming, I have always been happier in a 1-1 situation anyway.
Enjoy what you are doing.

So glad that you are feeling better about meeting some people again. I am still being careful but I do now feel more positive. I have an appointment with haematology next week so maybe I will find out a bit more. Take care and stay safe.

I think I’m too much of a coward to find out what my antibody situation is. I’m just tending to live life as it happens and do as much as I can whilst I’m not ill and let fate decide if life has something else in store.

Hi @SpaceAngel just a quick message to say I’m so sorry and I understand how rubbish you must feel (I did an antibody test after first jab and had no antibodies, I also have Chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL)), it’s so unfair and worse when the rest of the world is getting back to normal. Keep talking to us, this forum is such a great support. Sending you a big hug. Thinking of you. It’s not easy and it’s always ok to say so.

I’m feeling fine in myself still tired but I think that may well be idle-itis. Although I try to walk around about a mile daily… I keep away from people still sadly as I did an antibody test a month after my 5th jab and there were none… I am really looking forward to seeing my grandchildren next year

I had very few antibodirs after my third jab. I do have sime now but not sure how many. I have just had my 6th jab. I do know that you can now pay to have a t cell test. My macmillan nurse said the t cells will give some protection even if you have no antibodies. Might be worth while you having the test. Such a shame you cant see your grandchildren.

Hi @ilivesunshine people seem to have different opinions whether it is worth getting any sort of antibody/t cell test and what the results might actually mean.
I bet it would be so, so wonderful to see your grandchildren
Perhaps if you feel able to go on holiday you might also feel able to see your grandchildren, without hugs, I know how much you miss them, it’s been so long.
Look after yourself and let us know what what you decide to do about the tests
