Having recently been diagnosed with Essential thrombocythemia (ET) I’m a bit anxious about flying, I’m due to go to Fuerteventura in a few days, I have got inclusive travel insurance but was wondering if anyone had any adverse effects whilst flying? I’m currently only taking Asprin.

It seems that all would agree it’s good to discuss with your haematologist. Would this be possible before you go?

Thanks for the link Nichola, I spoke with my haematology nurse who said as my levels were relatively low it should be OK but I ultimately have to make the decision, I’ve got travel insurance so that’s given me more confidence so I’m just going to go for it!
