I am new to this group, diagnosed Pre fibrotic MF in Sept with platelets 750 and anaemia. CALr mutation was found too and BMB showed fibrosis.
My question is about hair loss when taking Interferon Alpha. I am 67 and already have thinning hair. What are people’s experiences? My Myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPN) specialist says this drug can slow progression to overt MF. I am worried about all the side effects. Right now I live a normal life drug free. (Except for aspirin) … any recommendations to help combat hair loss or advice because if my hair falls out I couldn’t bear it.
