Oh @TynLlwyn08 it’s great to hear from you again and very interesting to hear your perspective now and then and I am sure that they will help others.
As for running the 10k in September, that was brilliant and thanks for fundraising for blood cancer.
Really look after yourself and please do keep posting how you are.
Thanks erika. Its quite humbling to read peoples stories and where they are on their journey and the mixture of emotions. I became to realise there is no right or wrong way and everyone has to find what works for them.
I found in the early days just by sharing my thoughts on here where no one judged them was like therapy and allowed me to process things much better.
Anyway thanks again and hope you are well and keep up the good work
Martin.
So wonderful that you’re feeling so great!
I’ve been on obinutuzumab and venetoclax since early February, only 2 more IVs to go but I’ll be taking Venetoclax until December. After hardly being able to stand for long in January and February, the medication has work so well that, two weeks ago, my wonderful haematologist told me that I was in full remission! There definitely is light at the end of the tunnel. My body has coped really well with all of the drugs in my treatment protocol.
I’ve just moved into my own new residential park home and feel very confident living alone, especially as it’s more complicated to get to my new hospital. I really miss my old doctor and team but at least I don’t need to see the new team very much now.
I still can’t visit family and friends in Australia until after my treatment ends in December and then have a 3 month follow up check.
Wishing you all great wellness and a very bright future.
Hi Erica, I was diagnosed last June and having blood tests every 4 months, I’m also on two trials.
I have now also got lupus and I’m really worried as to how any drugs taken for the lupus will affect the Chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL)?
Thank you Jan
Hi @Janed1955
That all sounds very worrying, I too have Chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL) but none of your other concerns
I am not medically trained so can’t offer any thoughts about your medication but would encourage you to ask your care team about your worries and any contraindications that may occur
I am sure that someone will be able to offer some reassurance on here too
Take care of yourself
Let us know how you get on
Hi @Janed1955 , a great big welcome I do take responsibility for reminding all medical people of all my conditions and ask the questions around interactions with drugs etc.
That includes dentists and opticians etc.
I look forward to hearing more about you and please do keep posting
Look after yourself
