I had muscle tension last week and then this week I was rubbing my neck and found a lump. I went to the dr today. She said swollen lymph node that was moveable and soft. Said it could be from bug bites, ear issues, etc. She did not look in my ears, nose or throat. I have had some seasonal allergies (I think) that have given me an itchy throat and eyes and my ear has felt full/achy off and on. I’ve never had a swollen lymph node in my neck before even with muscle issues and allergies. Has this happened to anyone else and it NOT been something sinister?

Hi @alwaysscared.
It’s only natural that we worry about anything new we notice in our body.
Remember, swollen lymph nodes can be a number of things but it always good to get it checked which you have done.
If you’re still worried and the lymph node doesn’t go down, I would suggest going back to your GP and talking through your concerns.
