Dear Jane 3
Thank you for replying to my post and good that I have found someone that has experienced the same treatment.
I am sorry to hear that you were only able to have 4 rounds of treatment, unfortunately none of us know how long we can tolerate the treatment for, it must be shocking for you, sending you virtual hug.
I am unwell at the moment with high temperatures have picked up a virus that has made me feel rotten, affected my throat and voice, unable to do anything did ring the hospital on advice from several people but certainly didn’t want to have to go in, instead they agreed for me to see my GP and keep in touch with haematology. My Platelets very low again may have to have a transfusion.
Dear Lesley34 I am so sorry that you are feeling unwell. I do hope that you will soon recover from the virus. It’s hard having Acute myeloid leukaemia (AML) and then other illnesses to contend with too. I have just needed some dental treatment which has left me in great pain. We have to be so stoical! I wish you well in your journey and hope the medics can find something to cure you or at least prolong your life for as long as possible.
Erica, I contacted a lovely nurse from Blood Cancer UK, to investigate possible clinical trials. She worked hard on the research and I passed on the information to my consultant. Unfortunately, none were suitable for me.
