We attended a “webinar” (not sure if that is correct term) back November called a Chronic myelomonocytic leukaemia ('CMML') National Support group chat. I’m hoping we didn’t miss a recent one, does anyone know of another coming up?
Hi @Rick
As you registered for and attended the last Chronic myelomonocytic leukaemia (‘Chronic myelomonocytic leukaemia ('CMML')’) Online support meeting hosted by Leukaemia Care, you should automatically receive a link to join the next meeting which is at 2pm Uk time on 26th February. Hope this helps.
Thank you. That’s helpful to know.
Hi @Rick
Glad you have it. Not sure if you missed it but I had already included you in a post about this?
Are these just for people in UK? Are they helpful?
Hi @Eli42
A couple of people on this Chat Forum who are outside of the UK have registered and joined the meetings. Obviously the healthcare systems are very different but the meetings are not always led by clinicians giving info on latest research and the nature of the disease but often more for mutual support. Some people find it helps not to feel so alone with this rare diagnosis.
Hope this helps.
Thank you ChrissyD
At the moment the time difference is 8 hours, which means I’d have to be up before 6am to catch it! I might wait till the one in May, when it will be 7 hours difference - a more civilised time of 7am
Hi @Eli42
Don’t blame you for not wanting such an early start! But hope you can make the May one -even if you’re still in your PJs! ![]()
Hehe - just realised- I was working the times out the wrong way. Brain not functioning at full speed here. The meeting will actually be 10pm for me. I’ll be there if I can keep my act together
Hi @Eli42
Not wishing to contradict you but if the UK London time is 8 hours ahead of US (West Coast?), you were correct the first time and it would be 6 am?
I’m in Oz - Western Australia - we’re 8 hours ahead of you atm ![]()
@Eli42 Haha. My bad! Other side of the world! 10pm is much more doable! The meeting is usually 1 hour 30 so hopefully you can stay awake! ![]()
Do you know when the link will be sent out to individuals that were on the last open chat in November?
Hi @Rick @Lyndam @Cati @CathyP @Sisi @Unclejack @Logsie @Eli42 @Pierre
You’ve got me concerned now as I’d normally have received my invitation (plus numerous reminders!) by now and I have had nothing with only 2 days to go? Has anybody else received an invitation with the Zoom Join link?
I’ve just emailed Nick York at Leukaemia Care to query whether previous people who registered last year would still be on the mailing list and check if it has been done !! I’ll get back to you as soon as I know. Meanwhile maybe you could all register again? LeukaemiaCare updated their website recently so I’m concerned something has been overlooked?
Eek! I’d better get an invitation as I’m co-hosting! ![]()
Hi @Rick @Lyndam @Cati @CathyP @Sisi @Unclejack @Logsie @Eli42 @Pierre
Nick got back to me and it seems there has been a glitch with the software that sends out all the meetings invitations! Nick has now sent out a manual Zoom link to all the people who registered for last year’s meetings so please check your emails. The email looks a bit odd on my phone with all the text printed vertically! But it looks ok on a PC/laptop. The Join the meeting link is at the bottom. You should all have got this ?
Nick also said that the Zoom meeting link is the same each time so if you go back through your emails you can use previous ones.
Thanks for your query, @Rick otherwise it would have been quite a poorly attended meeting! Not least I’d not have got in! ![]()

Thank you for the update. I still haven’t received anything. Ill look into other options!
Disregard previous email. I have the link they sent! See you tomorrow.
Hi Chrissy, could you point me in the right direction to find a transcript of the Zoom meeting today and also a copy of the chat box that was visible but that I didn’t quite get my head round at the time? Thanks, Cathy x
Hi @CathyP
Sorry but Leukaemia Care does not provide transcripts of meetings or publish Chat Box conversations because of GDPR / confidentiality . However, usually Nick (the host) does a summary of discussions which is why he asked everybody at the start of the meeting if it was ok for him to use an AI method of recording . He sends that out on email to all participants. I noticed you missed a bit at the beginning, Hope that will help.
Just seen your other long update post but need time to read and respond. ![]()
