Hello ,thank you for reply .
having a disfunctional day , no functioning at all, lots of tears .it all gets more real the nearer it gets after 8 week wait.
hope canular isn’t difficult to get in tomorow ,hopefully ..
Because I have been through all this few years ago I am anticipating the not so good bits happening again.
Once in treatment area there is no where to go to have phone conversation privately. That will be difficult for me . and no where to walk about a bit its a whole day on first one then shorter 2nd day.
Hello Skye
I really feel for you. I get very stressed about hospitals too and have to keep reminding myself that they are trying to help me. Can understand too how frustrating the glasses issue must be, I also need my specs. Maybe you can choose some nice new ones soon. Know that we are rooting for you here, we really are. Please let us know how it’s going/gone, you can post at any time. We will be here for you. xx
Hi @skye
It does sound like you’re having an incredibly tough time. Coming off steroids alone is brutal. Add to that your mum, the nightmare with your glasses, and chemo – it’s no wonder you feel tearful. You’re dealing with so much, and it’s completely okay to feel overwhelmed and sorry for yourself right now.
You’ve done an amazing job getting ready for treatment . That takes huge strength.
What you’re feeling is normal
The anxiety and low mood after steroids are very common. And that feeling of needing to do something “special” before chemo, but just not being able to, is a painful one that many people share. There’s no right or wrong way to spend your day. Just being kind to yourself is enough.

I got some glasses recently from glasses direct - not a plug … other on line services are available but I did get them within five days as long as you have your prescription. Or cheap readers from a shop?
You are not alone, even if it feels like it. Take care and let us know how you get on.
