Very low low positive NPM1

So I’m 13 months post transplant and I’ve had good results ever since. I’m 100% donor cells and having good blood results but my BMB showed a very low low positive for NPM1. My hospital have decided to do a retest and I’m currently awaiting the results. They say this could be a blip or a false positive. Is there any experience in this and is it common? I’m absolutely terrified I really am.

Hello @KaylaBail, and welcome to the Forum.

I’m hoping some of our members who’ve been through similar experiences might see your post and feel able to share what happened for them. Sometimes hearing from others who’ve had these uncertain moments can help you feel less alone in the fear.

In the meantime, our Support Line is there for you if you need someone to talk this through with while you’re waiting. The nurses are great at helping people navigate these anxious moments between appointments, and might be able to help you understand your NPM1 results a little more. You can call them on 0808 2080 888 or email support@bloodcancer.org.uk.

Please do keep us updated when you get your results, and take care,
