A Blood Cancer Tsunami hit me three years ago today

Oh, thanks, @GrandmaJo, you have left me with a heart warming video playing in my mind of your very special day. It just shows that in Covid times we can do things differently, but with planning, still have very special moments.
Just having photos of my sons special moments brings me visual memories I would not usually have.
Please let us know how the blood tests and specialist call goes.
Stay safe.

Hi @GrandmaJo. How have you been? Did you have the call from your consultant?

I am doing well. I just had my consultation and my bloods remain well. She is referring me to the GP for regular checks on kidney and heart function because she says they can be affected by long term chemo taking. A timely reminder that the chemo is a powerful medication.
It remains of huge interest to see how the research goes as to whether some CML folk can come off the chemo after negative scores for a number of years. God bless the researchers I say! My friend volunteered for the second wave of volunteers but they said she had not been stable for enough years.
The snow and all the photos and video clips of my six grandchildren on sledges, snowboard and building snowmen has been a delight. Even the light off the snow brightens up your brain I think. This lockdown has definitely been tougher but my snowdrops tell me Spring is on the way and it is time to make a cake for my gorgeous husband’s birthday.

Hi @GrandmaJo . That’s great news about your bloods and it’s also great that they are keeping an eye on you too. You’re right, the snow does add a brightness doesn’t it!
I agree that this lockdown is more difficult. How are you looking after yourself?
I can’t wait to see another amazing cake creation!

Oh @GrandmaJo, great news.
Aren’t the pictures and video clips great to see, aren’t we lucky to have modern technology.
You go and bake that cake for your gorgeous husbands birthday and we will all support each other through lockdown3 and beyond.
