Abnormal scan… awaiting bloods. Scared

Hi,
Please forgive me if this is scrambled, I am still trying to get my head around it all.

ive recently been under some investigations with endocrinology for unexplained weight loss. This eventually ended in a nuclear bone scan (Spect-CT) as they saw some abnormalities (sacral high uptake)

From the nuclear scan I also had an MRI Pelvis which concluded there was bone odema in my sacram with no sign of trauma and now they are concerned re: Myeloma.

I’ve been sent for some blood tests (not told what they are) and told haemotology will decide what to do next based on this ‘Myeloma Screen’, bloods booked for tomorrow, and results sat in MDT next week apparently?!

I feel scared, uninformed and really out of my depth, just looking for some support and similar stories.

What questions should I be asking?
Anything I should be looking out for?

Just feeling out of my depth.

Hi @Penguin_girl a great big welcome to our forum.
I am not surprised you feel scared and out of your depth.
I find the waiting and not knowing is a horrible time.
I attach a thread for you from the Blood Cancer UK website and it should answer your questions
I’ve just been told I have blood cancer | Blood Cancer UK
I also ask for answers to my fears, questions and practicalities in a language I can understand. I have never learnt medical speak.
I have found that medical people do not say much usually until all results are back.
The Blood Cancer UK support line is there for you on 0808 2080 888 if you need it.
I reckon give yourself time, you have taken the first step, which takes courage, by posting on here, you are not alone now, please do keep posting.
Be kind and be good to yourself.
