About Family Camp
Anthony Nolan have recently partnered with Over the Wall, to offer a free activity camp for families who have a child aged 0 – 17 who has had a stem cell or bone marrow transplant . Families, including siblings, can enjoy a two-day residential stay full of activities making new friends with people who have been through a similar experience.
It takes place on the 6 – 8 September in the Dearne Valley (South Yorkshire). Food, accommodation*, and all activities are free for the whole family. Experienced Medical and Nursing professionals will also be on hand throughout.
This is the first time a camp like this has been offered to children who’ve had a stem cell transplant – so we are really excited about it. A few children have been on previous camps ran by Over the Wall, with one parent saying that camp was like the ‘silver lining to what she has gone through.’ We therefore believe it could be very beneficial to long-term wellbeing.
