Hi @hankikat a great big welcome to our forum, which I find supportive, and I hope you will.
Personally I think it is quite natural that you are feeling anxious and low.
My diagnosis was a shock to me and I definitely had the same feelings as you.
I reckon the unknown is scary.
I would say just give yourself time and be ever so kind to yourself.
The Blood Cancer UK support line is there for you on 0808 2080 888
I am a happy, smiley person again.
Please do keep posting and I find that I can say how I really feel on here.

Hi Erica thank you for getting back to me, also your advice. I ring next week regarding an appointment, My Haematologist is Great, she is Ringing me in December regarding my health and results. I am lucky because of my age 74 feel empathy for those who are a lot younger. I will let you know how I get on with my results. Would they send me my results so I can record them? So pleased you are keeping well!

Hi @hankikat I am a fellow 74 yr old.
Your haematologist sounds great, doesn’t it make a difference.
I would definitely ask for a copy of your blood test results although if your haematologist writes to your GP they might put your relevant ones in the letter.
I record mine.
Look after yourself and please let us know how the phone conversation goes.
