Do I need to take ice lollies? Is there a freezer compartment?

They do have a freezer. I had home made soup (which my daughter made and froze) stored in there. They will also label for you (although I labelled as well)
Also visitors can bring things in with them - so you can take in enough for a few days rather than a few weeks.
And @Summertime im happy to answer questions!
I took a mirror (so I could do face when I was in bed; facial wet wipes and also Andrex wet wipes (both really useful)
I had my kettle and tea bags, and a small milk in the fridge - but they will give you milk if you asxxxx

Ps they do have ice cream available 24/7 if that’s your thing, not sure about lollies xxx

I read somewhere that they get you to eat ice when having chemo. Is this right or is it my chemo brain again ?..
Just preparing my last Sunday roast ( feels like the last supper😂)

@Summertime - they regularly bring round fresh jugs of water with ice cubes in; so if you have mouth issues then eating ice is good apparently.
My worst side effects were sickness and diarrhoea- they have meds for both and if you can’t keep pills down they can IV meds.

@ChrisCKW Oh no I dread the sickness, I wish they could put me to sleep and wake me up when its all over…
We have just found out that my hubby can use a hostel room. He might do this a couple of nights per week as we are an hour each way.

Ps sickness drugs are usually ondansetron topped up by one I misheard as Dom Perignon! I was hoping for glass of posh champrrs 
They actually said Domperidone. Never mind xxxx

Ha ha I would have too!
I was given Akynzo anti sickness during my chemo and it seemed to work well all the way through. Mind you, prob this chemo is much stronger so god only knows how I will get on

Strange to think that my unknown donor from Austria is busy getting herself ready to donate her cells for me. I know I was a bit grumpy when she kept going on holiday and my date got delayed but I am so, so grateful to her. I wonder if I will ever get the chance to meet her…

Well… had a call from bed sister saying they want me in tonight otherwise they can’t guarantee bed for tomorrow ( doesn’t make much sense), anyway am on my way
