Thanks, slept awful, noisy clock tick ticking and nurses were a bit noisy :joy::joy:. Hopefully get used to it and sleep better tonight.
Got into my room at 11.30 ish, nice room and nice view from window.
Wi-Fi a bit rubbish so am using my phone hotspot, not really sure how it works :joy:
I’m in rm 12 first on right I think as you come through ward.
My poor hubby is in the hostel waiting to come see me and the nurse has just told me that he can’t visit for 48 hrs🥲
Going to have line put in soon xxx

@Summertime, best wishes to you for the transplant, you’re going to smash it! Our hospital in Swindon had a huge bag of ice chips which I had during the chemo. Didn’t have any mouth problems but I do have a real aversion to ice now! I know your chemo is different to mine but they do try to get on top of the sickness as soon as possible so hopefully you won’t suffer to long. Same with the diorrhea, my tip take wet wipes with you as loo paper becomes very harsh after a while. Will you be wearing leaderhososen with the new stem cells  Take Care of yourself, thinking of you xx

@ChrisCKW @Lyn99 @Northernsmito26 thanks for messages. xxx
Had Hickman line fitted about 2 this afternoon, wasn’t too bad. I have pretty much been left to it today as the ward are not really doing much with me til Tom when chemo starts.
Hubs is booked to visit wed afternoon but only for an hour😔.
Hope you are all ok xxx

Visiting times are so limited esp if travelling a distance.
Glad Hinkman line ok, and hopefully (apart from
Obs) you will sleep a little better tonight.
How’s the food been? Xxxx

Hi @Summertime , shame about the fridge, does give you a bit more freedom. I went off tea in the hospital and lived on fresh orange juice and would have been scuppered without the fridge. I missed treats in hospital so stocked up on crisps, snickers and starburst ( quite refreshing for a dry mouth). Our hospital only did carrots and peas for veg which gets very dull after a while. Had loads of baked potatoes which were nice and light. There was a secret white menu for light snacks which was good once offered. Xx

Hi @Lyn99 I haven’t had anything except breakfast yet. I have been eating bits I brought it. I must say the menu options are not very appealing. My hubby is going bring some meals in that I froze before admission. I haven’t seen baked potatoes, will ask about them.
I have a little cupboard stocked with crisps, sweets and chocolate…oh and some fruit :))
I have had my first chemo today and feels ok so far. Hickman line very sore still though.
How are you feeling now? Are you seeing family etc?

Hi, @Summertime yes your own food will really help. Chemo wasn’t too bad, but I struggled with anti rejection drug.
My Hinkman line was tender for two or three days, but they do keep an eye on it.
Sad you don’t have a fridge though xxxxx
