This is a silly question , but i have an appointment soon and wonder which is best. When you ladies have a hospital appointment where the nurse will have to check lymph nodes in the groin area, do you wear trousers that can slip down or a skirt that can lift up?
Oh @Denise-68 no question is a silly question on here and this I I expect a dilemma for many of us.
Don’t laugh, but I rummage to find matching bra and pants in a reasonable condition and that I don’t bulge in the wrong places. Ideally the bra has no metallic parts in case I have to have an impromptu test of some sort. I hardly own a skirt so I tend to wear non metallic, perhaps elasticated, trousers, gym wear or track suit bottoms for the same reason as above.
I wear footwear that are easy to get on and off, but socks are a problem as I have to check that there are no holes in them. Colourful socks are often a talking point.
I have rambled, but to answer your question personally I wear easy to slip down non - metallic trousers of some sort and when I pull them down I hold onto my pants, otherwise lifting up a skirt means I am stuck holding holding up and keeping out of the way a skirt, however you might consider just taking your skirt off. I wear a non metallic top that I can reveal an arm easily for giving or receiving blood etc.
My convoluted answer is as I have got to appointments just expecting to have one test done and I got sent for another x ray/scan/biopsy etc done at the same time.
Good luck and please report back and I hope others will chip in with their thoughts
