My dad has Myelodisplasia and has covid. He is now positive for the 18th day! Is this some kind of record or does anyone else have experience of being positive for so long?
@Ali24 I can tell from your post how concerned you are for your dad, perhaps your dad might like to seek the advice of his specialist nurse, consultant or GP telling them about his test results, any lingering symptoms and the severity of them he might have.
We await hearing if anyone has tested positive for so long.
Please do let us know how you both get on.
Look after yourselves
My hubby has lymphoma and was positive - strong positive lines- for 20days. Hope all settles soon for your dad
Sorry to read your Dad is still testing positive after 18+ days.
How is he feeling? Did he have an anti-viral treatment for Covid?
If he isn’t well, do let his Haematology team and GP know and hopefully they can assess him and best advise what to do.
Keep us posted on how he’s doing.
Take care, Heidi.
Dad has finally tested negative thank goodness. I almost went and bought him a congratulations card!
Another weight lifted!
Thanks everyone for your help.
That’s great news @Ali24 X
