Cyclophosamide priming

Absolutely my lil :glowing_star: @Spangleystar that time is over for you now and you must focus on your rest and recovery :mending_heart: I won’t be bothering with silly questions, I want you to focus on you xx

Thanks @DuncanB lovely to see your face! I’ve been masking since Christmas holidays and wiping the trolley handles down with disenfectant wipes, hadn’t thought of wiping the post or deliveries down, so I’ll get on that over the next few weeks  getting out every morning at the moment and enjoying the sunrises, and hopefully it won’t be that long till I can walk the lane to watch them again, I’m probably over simplifying the recovery phase in my head at the moment :grimacing::exploding_head:

I thought I knew @Duncan :sweat_smile: but as the time is approaching I’m losing a little faith in myself and my organisational powers :face_with_peeking_eye: very good idea to take to some familiar smells, I’ve got a few books and puzzles, hopefully I’ll feel like doing them x hope you are keeping well x

No no no! My lovely @Byrnebaby
You can always ask me, just meant I wasn’t up for writing my memoirs at the moment

This heat is messing me up big style today! Just had to get my bloods done at my docs (usually a 2 min walk, today a 10 minute crawl ) am back and I’m having a red coke!

How are you doing? Have you tried dedicating time for thinking and refusing to think when something pops up unscheduled  xx

First of all :glowing_star: to one of your questions, I will answer with ‘if only’ yours to decide which one :rofl::rofl::rofl: ohhh err missus!

Yes, I can imagine the heat is taking its toll, bloods so soon ? Is it back to weekly once we are out :face_with_spiral_eyes: a red coke sounds perfect! :clinking_glasses: hope you are going to rest up after your excursion and get cool x

@Byrnebaby I know which one :face_blowing_a_kiss: :rofl:

I think because I was discharged early they wanted some a week after, then it’s two weeks until the next one. I’m hoping my WBCs are still good because sometimes they can drop when GCSF injections stop, that said there was a lot of wiggle room so should be ok.
Again this could be different at TC so don’t worry about turning into a human pin cushion again so soon xx

Hey lovely @judesadventures wanted to check in as I know you had a big week last week and to let you know I’ve been thinking of you xx

:joy::joy::joy: @Spangleystar :glowing_star: you are definitely on the mend! :mending_heart:

Gawd the thought of weekly testing again makes me feel  in this heat! I think if I have to do weekly during the 100 days I’ll arrange with gp surgery, so I can just nip down instead of trekking to the hospital, I know a few locally that have been discharged from TC and also come home with their Hickman, so we’ll see, everyone else isn’t me, see! I’m learning x :winking_face_with_tongue:

@Spangleystar thank you so much for asking about me, I’m deeply grateful as you continue to heal and find your way in these early days. You have been on my mind too.

One appt went well - new tumour found wasn’t cancer so you can’t get much better than that - and other one wasn’t so good. Relapse investigations are needed (only finished chemo towards end of last year) but we’ll see what happens next together as we always do.

My friend gave us her caravan for the weekend - what a gift at just the right time. It’s where we had one until this year so it was wonderful to be back, breathing deeply and listening to the sea at a place we feel happy. We really focused on choosing to be still, to laugh, to make the weekend feel easy and had a beautiful couple of days.

Thank you again @Spangleystar for ‘seeing’ me during your own unsure days. And to @Erica for your ever so kind words too. Feels like we go way back and I’m always grateful for your support. And to all of you in this space. May the days be easier in time x

Oh dear @judesadventures I’m really glad you had one good appointment, but the uncertainty of the other one must be a lot to carry, a reminder we’re all here for you. It sounds like time by the sea was essential self care and really timely, what a lovely friend you have.
I’m keeping you in my thoughts and of course, keeping everything crossed for you my lovely xx

How are you doing today @Byrnebaby, I know this period can have it’s ups and downs so just checking in. Also please don’t feel any pressure to reply at any time, but especially if I’ve not landed in your timeboxed window of thought :winking_face_with_tongue::face_blowing_a_kiss::face_blowing_a_kiss::face_blowing_a_kiss:

I’m in a bit of a tender place today, I saw my neighbour who also has MM and has been refused ASCT based on her age, but she wanted a lot of info about that process which was quite hard to go through in person. Xx

You are always in my timeboxed window of thought my lil :glowing_star: @Spangleystar xxx oh no!! Yes, I can imagine that being quite emotional for you, a bit too soon to be talking it over plus the emotions at play for her not being able to have it, but things I’ve read it can be a blessing to older people as the treatments are so good and less toxic now , and providing good remissions xx apart from that how are you doing sweetheart? Are you managing in this heat?

Thanks lovely @2DB, yes some things are best left to fall to the haze of memory… Hope you are doing well, always a shining example to me  xx
This heat is something else @Byrnebaby - indoors curtains/blinds and windows closed! Fan and air purifier on! Multiple showers! Lots of moisturiser firstly because my skin is extremely dry post hospital and secondly because it keeps me a bit cooler longer! Xx
