ET diagnosis finally sinking in

Hi . Just getting through my first chemo and receiving calls and information to support me through the process. It does feel like te support is there.

@Jimbo165 All the symptoms where put down to the Besremi changes. I had told them about tummy pain, lack of appetite and weight loss but the dots weren’t connected. It was a total shock to the system.

@Gillyj I am being treated at the Royal Marsden and was advised there were no trials at the moment that i would qualify for but i am open to that if anything arises. I think everyone and there reaction to treatment is different so i will keep my fingers crossed that i get some quality of life as i will stop treatment if i don’t. I have the full support of my family in this which makes thing easier. I am not giving in yet….

@Erica Thank you for your thoughts. Yes i will do my best to enjoy xmas. There will be no stress and my daughter is very caring and compassionate. Haven’t really got my head around present buying as yet but will need to sort things in the next few days.

Thank you all for your kind words and support.

Hello @Chrispy. Just wanted to say I am thinking of you very much and thanks for continuing to reach out and support others on this forum when you are going through so much yourself. I am pleased to hear you have good family support around you. I wouldn’t worry too much about the presents if I was you! Warm wishes to you and your family, Willow x

Hi @Chrispy ,

You couldn’t be under better care than at the Marsden and I’m so glad you have a caring and supportive family around you.

Stay strong

Hi @Chrispy If you would like to discuss trial option the Blood Cancer UK support line might be able to help,

Who cares about presents, keep your life as stressless as possible and tell everyone Santa’s Sat Nav has broken and he has had to take them back to Santa HQ!!!
