Well we are home, thank you for all your good wishes. So pleased we went, it was hard as husband is struggling to walk ( thank goodness for blue disabled badge) and slept a lot of the time. But we did everything we wanted to do fish and chips on the pier, it was a glorious evening weather wise, ice creams, he managed to get onto the beach to play with granddaughter, we had a BBQ and he got to a pub for a drink. We are exhausted now but created lots of memories. He is noticeably deteriorating now so I think we will need extra help and support soon.

Hi @summer123. Iāve been eagerly awaiting your update and it was everything I was hoping it would be. It all sounds wonderful and Iām so glad you created lots of wonderful memories and that you managed this holiday as I know you both really wanted to get there.
It sounds tough as well as you talk about things deteriorating. You are doing an amazing job and have so much support but itās good that you know when youāll need a bit of extra help.
I should imagine you have a few relaxing days planned?

Oh @summer123 as you can see we were all thinking of you both and I am so, so glad the whole trip went as well as could be expected and you created lots of priceless memories.
Someone once said to me that it is a strength to ask for help and, not a weakness.
It will help you both and improve the quality of your lives.
I find going away is exhausting perhaps a bit of quiet time is in order. xxx
