Hello all, I am new here but I am 4 years into a blood cancer diagnosis. I am a Brit living in Switzerland diagnosed with Polycythaemia vera (PV). I have been on hydroxy for the past 3 years (1500mg per day) and now they have found via a bone marrow biopsy I have stage 1 fibrosis in the marrow so they want to switch me to Besremi Interferon. I have heard that this can be better longer term (as I was diagnosed at 45) BUT I have also heard it can have much worse side effects. Does anyone have experience with this and would share with me ? I would be very grateful. Thank you.
