Hi everyone.
I had a transplant for Acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), in May 2019 . Despite a difficult first year my life has basically been almost back to what it was pre diagnosis.
One year ago my neutrophil count dropped to 1.4 , in January this year it was the same, then April 1.1 , August 0.9 and last week 0.7. My platelets have dropped to 137.
I am having a bone marrow aspiration next week to investigate further. My consultant doubts it is relapse but some sort of immune problem.
I still feel absolutely fine, running three times a week up to 8 milers. However my anxiety levels are sky high .
Any ideas anyone?
Mark
Hi @parkrunmark I think of you every week when I walk our local Saturday 5k Parkrun and wonder how you are.
I think it is natural that your anxiety levels are sky high whilst waiting for tests and investigation results.

Hi Erica
Thank you for replying. I am feeling absolutely fine ,though obviously anxious about what’s going on with my bloods.
It’s so difficult since I lost my lovely wife Alison last year , it’s much easier to share a worry.
So glad you are going to parkrun , it has helped me so much in the last few difficult years x
Oh @parkrunmark I am so , so sorry to hear that you lost your lovely wife, Alison, last year, life must have been so difficult since then.
Also perhaps different times of the year are even more difficult.
I hope you will be able to share how it really is to be you on our forum.

Be so, so kind to yourself and please do keep posting xx
Hi there
I have myeloma and my neutrophils rarely go above 1.4
My platelets usually around 154
I’m also permanently immunosupressed which leaves me high risk of infections
Hopefully your aspiration will tell what’s going on and alleviate some of your anxiety
