Myeloma Patient Workshop

See below an opportunity to get involved in a project with DATA-CAN, the Health Data Research UK Hub for cancer. They have partnered with the Health Economics Unit, Janssen and the ABPI to work together on a project aiming to understand the feasibility of measuring different surrogate endpoints in UK cancer data focusing on Lung Cancer and Multiple Myeloma. Please see more information about the project here - https://www.data-can.org.uk/working-with-life-sciences-companies

They are looking to recruit a group of 8-10 patient representatives primarily, however not exclusively, with lived experience of Multiple Myeloma (as either a patient or a carer) to attend a patient workshop on the 29th September 10 am - 2pm . There will also be a briefing workshop on the 9th September 10 am - 12.30 pm to talk through the details of the project, what the objectives of the workshop are and to answer any questions to ensure everyone is sufficiently informed ahead of the workshop.

Please see the study summary on DATA-CAN’s website for further information. Contributors will be reimbursed in line with INVOLVE guidelines. If this sounds like something you are interested in being part of, please email Emily Boldison at e.boldison@leeds.ac.uk. It would be useful for you to include which disease site you have experience or an interest in (including when you were diagnosed and stage at diagnosis if you have personal experience of either diseases) along with information about why you are interested in being involved in this project and where in the UK you are based.
