Am feeling okay at moment, but appointment over the phone was a voice mail just to tell me that my appointment is being rescheduled.!!!

Oh, Kevin, great to hear from you, you say you are feeling OK, but how did you feel after receiving the voicemail message, I know how I would have felt?

My new appointment is 27/05/2020 but have to go for a blood test before but is at hospital that I can’t get to because I have had my driving licence revoked because of my diagnosis

Kevin, perhaps it might be worth contacting the hospital and explaining your situation and concerns nearer the time, I am ringing my hospital next week as I have an appointment at the beginning of May and I need 2 separate lots of blood tests before the appointment. I hope I will be able to get the blood tests done at my local GP surgery. Hi @KevinM it’s good to hear you have a new appointment date although I’m sorry this has caused some logistical concerns for you! Erica makes a good point about contacting the hospital and explaining your situation. Do you have the details of a clinical nurse specialist/key worker or another member of your treatment team who you could talk this through with?

Hi @KevinM and @Alice_BloodCancerUK, I have just rung the hospital, they were not on the number I had for the unit as the unit has been moved to a more isolated area. They were very cross that I had not been contacted and said if it was OK with me they would be re-scheduling my appointment for after the isolation period, hopefully early July. That is fine by me. She was absolutely lovely and said the real heroes were the people in isolation and we had a friendly argument about that !!!

I have a clinical nurse specialist and after talking with her yesterday she is going to try and get my blood test local
