Just like to introduce myself, diagnosed Oct 2021 with Chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL), watch and wait
Hi @Wes a very warm welcome to our forum.
I also have Chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL) and was diagnosed in 2003. I have always been on watch and wait too.
I really look forward to hearing more about you and how you are doing, it cannot have been easy for you being diagnosed during Covid times.
Look after yourself and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Hello @Wes and a great big welcome to the forum. As @Erica said, we look forward to getting to know you better. It’s a great forum family!
How are things for you doing at the moment?
Hi Erica,
I’m ok, started taking B12 a few weeks ago as I was getting tired, which has helped, I work in a school ( 1 school 2 sites ) And there’s been a lot of Covid cases and illness in the last couple of weeks so I think I must of picked something up anyway, it’s been a rough year and a half, my wife of 45 years died from a brain tumour in September 2021 and in October 2021 I was told I had Chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL) which came as a bit shock, disbelief is probably the best way to describe it, it’s taken me all this time to pluck up courage and join the group, I look forward to reading other people’s posts and I thank you for welcoming me .

Hi @Wes. I can only imagine how difficult things have been/are at the moment. So many things to process and your emotions must be all over the place.
Sometimes it takes a while for us to feel ready to join a forum like this. It was the same for me because joining made things real and I wasn’t ready for that. However, I never looked back and don’t think you will either. Share as much or as little as you feel comfortable doing. Really glad you found us
Oh @Wes, my thoughts are with you loosing your wife after such a long marriage and during Covid times too.
Then just a month later to be diagnosed with Chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL), I just cannot imagine how you dealt emotionally and practically.
It really must have taken you so much courage to join our forum. I am so glad you did, you are now part of our forum family.
You never have to post if you are not comfortable to, there are certainly plenty of posts for you to read on here.
It must be a Covid hotspot working in a school, stay safe and be kind to yourself
