Ive been experienced pain in lymph nodes since 3 months. It started with pain in armpit, and now i feel in the groins too, with no swelling. Ive gone to different doctors and the send my ecography ( nothing weird in them ) and some blood test ( more focused in hormone because everything started with a pain in a breast due ginecomastia ). The last two weeks ive experienced some pain in the body and tireness ( more than normal ). Could be this simptons related with some blood cáncer like lymphoma?
Hi @Goddar and welcome to the forum.
I can hear the worry in your post, which is understandable when you are feeling unwell.
What I would say it that symptoms could be a number one f things.
It’s always good to get any new symptoms checked You say you have seen two different doctors. Have you been able to share your concerns with them? Have they discussed next steps?
Hi @Goddar I am glad you have found us and are able to share your concerns. @Nichola75 has given you a great response
You show so clearly how we are all unique complex beings.and only a medical person, who knows your whole medical history, can make a diagnosis.
I have to realise that all tests are to rule conditions in or out.
I hope you do not mind me asking but are you in the UK?
Please do let us know how you get on and really look after yourself, it is not nice waiting and not knowing
Thanks for replying, @Erica@Nichola75 . Im in spain and the medical system is really slow. I have an appointment with the hematologyst in Two weeks and with the endocrinologist in four. Each doctor see the problem in their perspective ( the endocrinologist thinks is made by hormones ). Maybe i would see an internal doctor.
But the question is, are this symptons related with lymphoma ?
Hi @Goddar as @Nichola75 says your symptom could be any number of things and your question is best asked of your haematologist.
I like to write my fears, questions and practicalities down so I do not forget to ask everything on my mind.
Look after yourself and please do let us know how you get on.
Hello @Goddar
Welcome to the Forum. I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing the symptoms you mentioned in your post. As @Nichola75 and @Erica mentioned, your symptoms could be due to various issues, not necessarily lymphoma. It is important to get checked by your Doctor and I would recommend a symptom diary so that the Doctor can understand when these symptoms started along with the severity. You are welcome to look at our Blood cancer symptoms and signs | Blood Cancer UK pages for guidance when talking to the Doctor. It does say that “Most people who have symptoms described on this page won’t have blood cancer. But it’s important to find out what’s causing them.”
Hoping that you get some support around your symtoms.
Best wishes
Gemma
Im having painful lymphnodes too, and I have them for around 3-4 years. Earlier they were not painful but now it’s getting difficult to walk for long, leg feel like it has walked 10miles or so, and the pain is not letting me Sleep. Im having fevers which are persistent and take too long to go away. The fatigue has decreased my everything. No matter how much I eat, once I reach 45kg or above my weight plummets down to 39kg. Could this be lymphoma? I don’t know much about it
Hello @Ata,
Thank you for your post.
We are sorry to hear that you are having painful lymphnodes and fevers.
We can imagine this is a worrying time for you.
We would strongly advise making a GP appointment and telling them about your symptoms, how you are feeling and that you are concerned about blood cancer.
Blood cancer can share a lot of symptoms with other conditions, so it’s useful to tell the GP that it is this you are concerned about as they can then carry out the appropriate tests.
You may find our 'Blood cancer symptoms and signs’ page helpful to read - it contains information on what to look out for, as well as prompts for questions you might like to ask your doctor.
As it explains on the webpage:
"Most people who have symptoms described on this page won’t have blood cancer. But it’s worrying to have symptoms you can’t explain, and important to find out what’s causing them, if only to set your mind at rest.
If you have just one symptom that you can’t explain, that goes on for a long time, or is unusual for you, book an appointment with your GP. If you suddenly feel very unwell at any time, get medical help straight away by calling 999 or going to A&E."
One of the first tests that would be done to investigate someone’s health is a full blood count (full blood count), which measures the number of each type of cell in your blood: red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets. We have information about normal ranges and you can read more about each of the tests that might be done to confirm or rule out blood cancer here: bloodcancer.org.uk/understanding-blood-cancer/tests-diagnosis.
We hope this is helpful,
Take care,
Emma (Support Services Nurse)
