Hi I’ve recently been diagnosed JAK2+ and Polycythaemia vera (PV). One of my white cells is slightly high as well. I noticed my hospital notes today said CML?
Can you have Polycythaemia vera (PV) and CML at the same time? Struggling to get a clear statement from the Haematologist.

Hi @DougyW sounds a reasonable question to me and perhaps your medical team are best to answer this either your consultant (if you can tie them down) or your CNS (Clinical Nurse Specialist, if you have one).
We are very unique complex beings.

Thank you Erica. I really appreciate that. I spoke to my CNS on Tuesday who said they were trying to rule out the CML. My case was discussed today and I am hoping to hear tomorrow.
Its a drawn out process for those of us who are even more unusual.

I have just read your post and I am sorry that you are having such a long wait. I am glad that you have been able to talk to your CNS about your concerns, sometimes when the diagnostics are complex it does take a while but once all reviewed at least you will have a clear pathway of care.
