Raised lgG kappa

I’ve had bone pain in my left leg for a couple of years, no arthritis evident , have had physio with no improvement. Doctor referred me to orthopaedics and also had routine blood tests carried out . Blood tests revealed raised lgG kappa, kappa/lamba ratio 1.69 and paraprotein 7.1. She sent urgent referral to haematology, within a week I received letter stating abnormalities found at this stage do not require urgent investigation or treatment but have made an appointment to see haematology consultant in 5 months. Should I be concerned, especially as bone pain has manifested to my shoulders., all of the pain is worse when in bed, even causing me to have “hot flushes” At this stage doctor suggests possible Monoclonal gammopathy of unknown significance (MGUS).

Hi @Tich welcome to our forum.
Has you doctor suggested a way forward?
You ask if you should be concerned and personally I am always concerned until I have a diagnosis and the way forward. It’s the not knowing and waiting that gets to me,
Don’t forget all tests are to rule things in or out.
I really look forward to hearing more about you, it sounds as if you have been in pain for a very long while.
Personally I make sure that I keep my medical teams up yo date with all my symptoms, the severity of them and the impact on my life.
Really look after yourself and please do keep posting.
