Hi everyone i am not sure how to update my post so hope everyone can see this … i am home from hospital and feeling better… still got foot and hand infection taking its time to heal
Back on my hydroxycarbamide and go see hematology in 2 weeks …thanks to everyone for asking how i was doing

Hi @SMIDDY I am so glad that you are home now and feeling better, however your foot and hand infections still sound debilitating.
Please let us know how you get on with your haematology in 2 weeks.

Hi just a little update i am doing a lot better,back on my chemotherapy, and Doc happy with my bloods still got foot sore but healing

Hi - I also have ulcers and am treating them with vaseline as advised by GP - haematologist hadn’t heard of ulcers as a hydroxycarmbamide side effect. Have been referred to gynaecology (guess where ulcers are!)

Ouch, @Pollyp sounds nasty, please let us know how it goes with gynaecology, if you want to, that is. We are complex beings and each medical specialism tends to work in isolation.

Thank you Erica. Unfortunately it turns out that the gynae auto immune condition I’ve suffered from for a while has worsened since the Essential thrombocythemia (ET) meds started. Having another appt. with a dermatology/gynae specialist followed by a biopsy. Keep your fingers crossed for me please

Hi @Pollyp I was diagnosed with Chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL) by a gynae specialist following a gynae op.
I have also been diagnosed with skin cancer on my head, twice, so I am under a dermatologist and a plastic surgeon.
I will keep my fingers and toes crossed and will be thinking of you for you so please let us know how you get on.

Have now had my gynae appt for more detailed investigation cancelled - praying that I get a new one through soon as so want to know what is going on
