Waiting for Haematology appointment

Hi all, My first post. I am monitored by a renal immunology team, due to a serious autoimmune disease. I have rituximab infusions for this, they monitor all my immunoglobulins. I was called in yesterday to say that they had been monitoring Paraproteins in my blood since 2022! The level has risen to 7g/l. On another test a Kappa/Lambda ratio was 12.3. so said he was going to refer to haematology, as could be an indicator for Myeloma. I am 51 years old. I feel very concerned, should I be? Or are these levels insignificant? It was so out of the blue. Any help and advise would be appreciated.

Hi @CalmDebs a great big welcome to our forum.
It sounds as if you are already been well monitored.
You also show what complex beings we are and how we are all such unique individuals with different medical histories.
We are a support forum and I can hear your natural concern and anxiety and that feeling of waiting and not knowing which I expect many of us can relate to.
What I would say is to look after yourself as anxiety I find is exhausting, at the moment it might be something or nothing.
Please do let us know how you get on.

Waiting is often the hardest part which is why the forum is so important. You have space to share how you’re feeling and know we understand X
