A Story of Hope for Children with Leukaemia

Hello everyone,

I hope this is okay to share. I’ve spent the past two years writing and illustrating a story called The Pigeon, inspired by my wish to give children battling illnesses like leukaemia something uplifting and empowering.

In the book, a boy named Jasy fights leukaemia with the help of brilliant minds (like Professor Tye Connors, inspired by Stephen Hawking), the love of a foster family, and the guidance of a mysterious pigeon named Moppy. It’s a story about courage, hope, and believing that even the hardest battles can be won.

I don’t care about profit — what matters to me is whether stories like this can bring comfort or spark hope. If anyone here thinks their child or family might benefit from reading it, I’d be happy to share more or even send a copy.

With respect,
James
