Really sorry to hear this, @Ashob - you’ve had a long wait, and now this delay. So frustrating. I hope you can use the time to do something that makes you happy, even if only for a few minutes a day.
We’ll all have our fingers crossed that you manage the two negative tests.

An emotional few days for me, one year ago today I told my husband that I didn’t feel well, by the end of the month I was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia. On Thursday I have my 100 day post transplant appointment. What a year!!
Not looking forward to the bone marrow biopsy or the waiting for the results but, on a positive note, I have visible hair growth at last!

We all know how difficult waiting is and this one is obviously such an important step in your journey. Please let us know how the appointment goes. Best of luck with the biopsy @Suey. I have had 10 of them and still dread them too but it will be over in 20 mins. Hope the results are really good xxx

I bet you are not looking forward to the bone marrow biopsy or the waiting for result, I really hate all the waiting too.
But the visible hair growth is definitely good news.

I had a diagnosis of Acute Myeloid Leukaemia in June 2020 with stem cell transplant in November 2020. I so remember that 100 day milestone, then I had my year milestone, now looking forward to my 2 year milestone in a few months. Each one is mini celebration for me and it’s great to read about others on this forum on the same journey with similar experiences. Keep going and with regards to the biopsy…I used to promise to buy myself something nice after each one because I deserved it. Big hug x

Hi all just wanted to let you know i tested negative yesterday!!! Thrilled!
Waiting on a new admission date now hopefully in next 2 weeks.
Have my work up next week so busy week ahead. On Wednesday I have to have my bmb but also a lumbar puncture after the biopsy. Had never known id need a lumbar puncture so am a bit worried about it but il have to get thru it!

Quick update - appointment went well, Dr is happy with my progress. My 7th bone marrow but first at that hospital, gas & air used as standard, so much better! I will definitely be telling my local hospital they need to use it!

Fantastic you got gas and air, @Suey! I’ve had 4 biopsies, and they didn’t rell me I could have gas and air until the 3rd - and it does indeed mske a big difference. Hope things continue to go well. X

Hi Erica its been a rollercoaster of a week but im nearly there.
Transplant hospital asked if we could revert to origianal admission date of this Monday 25th so it was panic stations as i had no work up done.
So in the last 3 days i have had bloods, pcr, ultrasound, bone marrow biopsy, chest xray, lung function tests, heart echo and to finish it all off this morning i had a lumbar puncture.
I am exhausted but all the results are now back and everything is good so im all set.
I go in Monday morning for a pcr. Once thats negetive fingers crossed, I go down to have the Hickman line inserted. Then hubbie comes to collect me and bring me to transplant hospital for admission.
So then next 2 days to relax and spend some nice time with hubbie and the kids before having to go. Dreading that bit but I need this transplant now so i have no choice. Please God let it work
