Hi my name is Andrea. I had a DVT in September and am currently still waiting for haematology to see me to check my blood and why this happened. Would be great to talk to you all and also read your stories to understand what is happening at the moment. Still currently on Xarelto since September and it is a 6 to 9 month waiting list. Isn’t the waiting so difficult
Diagnosis is a matter of doing tests to rule conditions in and out.
Unfortunately I am finding that appointments are taking longer to get because of Covid, sickness, strikes, staff shortages etc.
I have to check which year the appointment is for sometimes.
I often ring the contact number on the letter and tell them I will take a short notice cancellation slot.
Perhaps talk to your GP about your anxiety and ask what they can do or suggest.
