Cyclophosamide priming

It is on rest mode - can’t deal with activity tracking  @Duncan

Absolutely!! That will be amazing and less painful than being on my own that first Saturday night! @Spangleystar xx

Oh so many benefits @Duncan , no drunks either! :joy: I’ll be in hospital, it’s my first weekend in! I’ll get some treats in, sit back and enjoy!

Everyone has their own baseline, yours looks consistent so that’s good xx

Ha I thought you’d be wise enough to do that! My ring was about 2 years old and wasn’t noticing me doing activities, so it got to the point where I’d even have to input basic stuff like walking the dog and I was like why am I paying to do this manually?! So I put it in rest mode and threatened to cancel my membership. Turned out that both the software and hardware had somehow conked out so they sent me a newer model (free!) and lo, no more inputting data that the tech should be  So if your ring is a bit older it might be worth checking that it’s working properly. Might not be your body at all!

Oh that’ll definitely be an experience in hospital. You might even make friends there over it, I bet you’ll have nurses who share your taste in music. Maybe we on the forum could watch along with you too if you add it to the Monday Movie thread

I’m tempted by the 5 - newer smaller etc :rofl:This one is 4 months old as my previous one wasn’t holding charge (I found the customer experience to be incredible, I asked the AI agent why my ring needed charging so frequently, it looked at the ring and immediately dispatched a new replacement - I had it within 48 hours!) Also I have checked the daytime heart rate on another monitor I have so I know it’s correct, just need to be patient and let my body work it’s magic xx

Ooh I haven’t seen a Monday movie thread! Will have a look for that

Your experience of your ring sounds uncannily like mine… Imagine if Oura coded their rings to stop working around the time that they announce new models, that would never happen, surely! I messaged their AI one day and it was software issues. When the issues kept happening the day after their AI said it was hardware and shipped me a new version 4 :man_shrugging:t2:

So cynical @Duncan love it though, you’ve not been over there too long to lose your Britishness
It could really backfire with the standard 12m warranty, (I extended mine to 24) imagine you’ve just paid out for a 4 and they kill it as the 5 comes out and have to send you a new one, you’re costing and also losing that ‘I need the new shiny thing’ market  That said there could be software issues inadvertently - like backwards compatibility testing etc so definitely could happen, but I think more by fault than design xx

Hahaha I really am cynical with this sort of thing @Spangleystar! So proud that I haven’t lost that! My sarcasm has sadly faded though…

Is it normal at this stage to wake up and feel life is on a countdown to really, out of choice making myself ill? I’m ugly crying at least xxxxxx times a day, then I’m fine, then I start again, :woman_shrugging::flushed_face: I’m not waking up, happy to be awake and feeling great, I’m waking up tired and seeing a mountain of jobs to do before I go in :face_with_spiral_eyes:

So sorry to hear you’re dealing with a lot of worry and anxiety @Byrnebaby

There’s no right or wrong way to feel we are all different.

One step at a time.

Take care :folded_hands:

It seems you’re putting a lot of pressure on yourself to make sure everything is perfect before going in.
This pressure does cause anxiety and that can make you cry at moments out of the blue.

Can you be kinder to yourself these jobs will always be there and it’s ok not to have them all tied up and sorted

Crying is a normal reaction to losing yourself
To the situation you find yourself in
To the unknown
To feeling like your losing control
It’s ok to cry

I totally agree with @2DB, I know you want to be prepared lovely @Byrnebaby but what is so urgent it’s worth putting yourself under this pressure for?

You will have so much time on your hands when you come out and you may welcome some light jobs as a return to you.

I’ve been in a blind panic with a few ugly tears myself today. My husband has picked up a vomiting virus- so he’s in isolation while I’ve been masked and gloved up cleaning, washing, cooking. I am absolutely shattered and desperately hoping to not come down with it as I can’t face the thought of going back into hospital  xx

Thanks @2DB im just so hung up on getting the house right for when I get back home, I’m stocking the larder, just trying to make it easy for us to manage while I’m away, but when I’m back and can’t go out for a whole, all seems so daunting x hope you are keeping well x

Oh crap no @Spangleystar that is the last thing you need sweetheart!! I’m praying you don’t catch that! It’s an ugly bug to catch x I hope you get some time to rest and your children don’t catch it either! X I’m just being over controlling and should relax, I just eant the place as clean as possible as I know it won’t be for a few months :joy: and then I won’t care as I’ll have so much to catch-up on on living! X

@2DB @Spangleystar i am getting a bit obsessive I’ll admit:face_with_spiral_eyes: but I’m so worried about catching something once home, and being able to maintain a high standard, to we need to do daily kitchen/bathroom cleans for the 100 days? Food prep, even what can we eat? My mind is going everywhere even down to being fed up with a medicine schedule, how do you deal with all this long term @2db ? I know you are meticulous with your masking, but what about all the other ordinary life stuff? Hope you are doing ok @Spangleystar and not caught hubbys bug x

Oh @Byrnebaby :hugs::hugs::hugs:

My advice don’t bother with food prep, your tastebuds will be all over the show for a while so you won’t know what you’ll want now and your appetite very small. I’ve found sausage sandwiches (inspired by @DuncanB comment when he left hospital ) to hit the spot, yet I hadn’t had one in absolute years, so would never have prepared for that! If you only want soups you can make them with frozen prepared veg once you’re home very quickly. Can K cook? If not it’s a great time for him to learn, my Dan’s cooking is now (nearly :winking_face_with_tongue:) as good as mine - he really had to step up when I was out of action in pain last summer, before I knew what was going on.

Kitchen sides are done daily, but always have been. The new addition is all handles and taps daily.

If you have 2 bathrooms, and K can use a different one you can get away with doing yours less, I do mine every few days. If you’re sharing then that’s a daily ‘blue’ job for the first few weeks until you get your strength back.

What I will say is whatever you are doing now, gets undone by your time in hospital as your house is still being lived in. I would do enough, but recognise that someone will need to do a thorough clean before you come - maybe husband or kids or all 3 can do a family bonding blitz for you!

As for my DH we’re now 18 hours from last vomiting bout, so hopefully he’s out of the worst of it. He came downstairs and I shouted at him to put a mask on, text me what he needs and go back to isolation- he’s got 30 hours to go before he can be in shared areas! No signs as yet from me but again incubation can be up to 2 days so I’m still super cautious xx
