You are so right @Byrnebaby ! I had it around 2pm
I did ask if I could save it for 5am this morning, but it was a no so I just chucked the whole cup down - I’ve got good at that, would never have considered taking multiple tablets at once before- so crazy!
It does seem to play nicely with chemo in terms of effectiveness, so I’m hoping now there’s no more melph there will be no more dex!
Ahhh Happy Birthday to Dan 33 and me 0, officially the youngest in my family after today
Congratulations

The photos haven’t been edited in any way @Spangleystar
Just straight from my phone
Glad @Duncan has shared some shots from his hike and hopefully a few others will join in.
The water you can see in the photo is the Moray Firth

I wish I could tag the Scottish Tourist Board truly! I just knew you were going to say that@DuncanB
Thanks I’ve been getting my steps in around the garden here as I’m due to be hooked up in an hour. I’m weirdly excited, aren’t emotions bonkers!
Have a good day xx

Glad to hear that getting steps around the garden @Spangleystar
I never got out my room unless it was for a scan or xray during my 9 weeks in hospital.
Another couple of photos to keep your spirits up and give some virtual fresh air
First one is a Gorse bush which have a lovely coconut smell.
Second one is bridge over a Ford.
Enjoy and hope your day is going okay

@DuncanB I’m on my last bag now, so fully sweetcorn in the palate! Imagining the smell of gorse right now helps
Thank you for posting
Yes I’m very fortunate to have this outside space and excellent treatment, I fully appreciate and am so grateful to the amazing NHS!
Keen to hear from the lovely @Byrnebaby when you can - keeping everything crossed for you xx

Awww what a cutiepie @Spangleystar!!! Such a happy face, I’d love to be greeted by her any time
So funny to imagine Noodle seeking out the sunniest areas, Rusty tends to be like that too while I’m like hey I need to protect my skin!
Sounds like you’re nearing the end of this treatment, I hope it all ties up neatly today with no fuss

@Duncan - I’m such a shade seeker
the perils of red hair and pale skin growing up - back in the day where your parents would leave you playing in the garden without a thought of spf!
Factor 50 here, 30 in the winter, unashamedly pale for life!
Transplant done, now I have to wait for the decline and rise and then home-time (that’s my plan, but you know what they say- ‘you make plans and God laughs’, I think she’s got my back this time!) xx
PS intentional ‘she’ reference, if you’ve seen ‘Dogma’ you’ll know

What a happy moment for you husband and family.
Your son must have been working his birthday magic

@DuncanB i think he was!
Also, a tip for future stem cell harvesters,
My son told me to eat 85% dark chocolate after the growth jabs, so who knows if that helped?

Whether it did or didn’t doesn’t matter @Byrnebaby but I bet you enjoyed eating that chocolate
Well done. Onwards and upwards from here

Oh my, such early birds! I’m really so pleased to read so many cells were harvested, and I especially approve of your son’s chocolate advice. In our household we consider dark chocolate medicinal so always have some at hand, just in case

@Spangleystar aww sweetheart, sorry to hear you are feeling green
hope they are up on your meds and can get rid of that feeling, but also I think of when I was younger and my dad did deadly farts and the saying was ‘better out than in’ just think of every toilet rush as a detox of all those meds x I guess they are monitoring you like crazy and disturbing your sleep? Just try and rest as much as you can inbetween x are you seeing mum today to cheer you up? Xx
Thanks for cheering me on x woken a little deflated, but I did eat a bar of Tony’s choccaloney last night, and it had this effect
so I’m resting today as Keith home, and nurse yesterday said no housework/exercise for 48 hrs, so trying to chill and plan gaining strength/fitness for my ‘holiday’ xx it’s like that feeling when you’ve been to a concert or event, the best day is flat? I guess we will both be feeling that today x hope you had a wonderful sunrise to watch , here is yesterdays across the Dee Estuary, not very good as we were travelling x
