Cyclophosamide priming

@Duncan we are always up early, used to start every day with a bilbo walk, as he was a stressy lad and scared of dogs, so we walked him very early, then he just followed me around for the rest of the day :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: we had to leave yesterday bay 5:30 to get to Manchester before the commuter traffic :automobile:

Hey lovely @Byrnebaby - they gave antihistamine to prevent any allergic reactions but I couldn’t sleep at the time and then got over tired. I’m not a great sleeper anyway, very light and I am fully awake for every 4 hour obs. It’s ok though I still would rather not much sleep than AC. I’m sure as I go through this process everything will make me sleep.

It’s not D&V yet - just feeling like I may vomit. Going to walk the terrace garden again in a bit as that worked a treat yesterday morning .

We’re all going to have our up and down days. As you’re having a rest day, why not really lean into it. Bubble bath, great film, favourite foods let all the thoughts just float away - sounds like heaven

Beautiful sunrise! No in the big city all I can see is buildings for now.

Mum is down in Dorset so it’s a very long journey for them. They will only come if I need them to, and I’m trying to avoid it if possible for everyone’s sake xx

Oh that sounds familiar @Byrnebaby—our Rusty was so reactive to any other dogs when we first brought him home that it took until recently for him to keep his cool in public! He’d spin himself out of his lead to run across roads to bark at dogs!!! We think he’d been attacked and traumatised previously as he has scars all around his head

Yesterday he managed to not even growl at a passing Yorkie, so proud! Just lots and lots of praise and treats to help him learn that not all creatures are scary or dangerous. A lesson for us all, right?!

Ah wondrous Celtic colouration that is no match for any glimmer of sunlight, I know it well! Glad you look after your skin so well, wish I’d started sooner with mine but I’m also an SPF 50 person nowadays. It’s only going to get sunnier :desert:

Hope you’re having a restful day @Spangleystar, I’ll see if I’ve got some more scenic snaps for you :telescope:

Good morning @2DB how are you? you’re going to think I’m going mad, but I feel a bit deflated?! Haha, after months of franctic activity I’m left with an empty diary for, I don’t know how long and it feels very strange indeed! Xx

Morning lovely @2DB , today is a new day. Thank goodness :hugs: Yesterday I can’t remember much past midday, think it all caught up with me and I had a bit of a panic about how nauseous I was feeling - when I’d heard days 1-3 were usually ok. I had 3 different anti sickness tablets and injections and still couldn’t eat a thing. Breakthrough last night when I asked to stagger the night time anti sickness rather than take them all at once - slept well and woke up refreshed. Long may it last! How are you doing? Xx

Embrace the blank space while you can @Byrnebaby. When you get your date in for transplant you’ll wonder where those blank pages went! With all the tests and physio etc xxx

Good morning @Spangleystar love my new name! So glad you’ve sorted your meds and got some much needed sleep xx yeah I intend to embrace the gap! Haha I’m not sure about tests and physio though? It’s not been mentioned and I think I’ve done all these tests a few weeks ago x how are you feeling? I’m hoping the slump won’t be bad for you at all xx I bet you’re quite emotional x I am and I don’t know why x

Oh maybe you’ve had all the tests, like GFR kidney, echo etc. already. The prehab physio may just be a UCLH programme (fitness tests - #of squats in a minute, strength & balance, 6 min walk etc - they also run twice weekly exercise classes, which was great and since I’ve been in they’ve bought me dumbbells and a step to help pass the time when I get the fidgets  xx

With heightened anxiety we have a lot of Adrenalin and that can have a come down effect where you feel drained tearful lost etc.

Having an empty diary can seem very loud indeed and unnerving but take this time to gather your thoughts and do things that make you happy..

Agree with what @2DB is saying @Byrnebaby

Definitely want to make the most of this time before transplant even if you need to be careful

Beautiful- thank you. I’m not doing great today and it’s only day 3, really trying to take each day as it comes but it’s hard - can it really be several more weeks and it will still get worse before better? Xx

Oh my beautiful :glowing_star::sob: @Spangleystar sorry it’s kicked in so soon, hopefully :crossed_fingers: the earlier it starts the quicker it’s over for you xx every day is a step forward to going home xx try and keep that in your mind x have you started the growth injections again yet? I only learned yesterday we have them again while in x :face_with_spiral_eyes:

You are doing the right thing taking it a day at a time @Spangleystar

It’s going to be tough for a while.

It’s as much a mental as it is a physical battle

Take care :folded_hands:
