Hi all, would anyone know how you go about getting an appointment with Dr Daniel Wiseman at Christie’s hospital Manchester? I’ve emailed the secretary a couple of times but no response. Would really like to get my husband seen by him. Many thanks

Hi @Logsie good question, perhaps ask your husbands consultant to refer your husband for you both.
Others might be able to share their experiences and have more knowledge than me.

I am not sure how it works asking to be referred to him but I googled him on the Christie’s site and his secretary is listed with contact details ? Good luck

Hi I am a patient who sees Dr Dan Wiseman. When I was originally diagnosed with Myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) in 2017 by a local hospital, I just phoned the Christie and asked them to see me. They agreed straight away. So try the secretary again by phone or email.

@Logsie Hi! Like the others have suggested, do keep trying Dr Wisemans secretary. We were very fortunate that our local hospital / Heamotology department agreed for my husband to get an additional opinion from him & referred him. Appt came through quite quickly for 6 weeks time, which is now next week. Good luck & best wishes to you & your husband
