Hi all.
I’m heading to the UK next week to visit my daughter and the grandies. Whilst there I’m looking to see a specialist who can answer the many questions that I have and can’t seem to be able to get answered here in New Zealand. This relates to my recent diagnosis of Myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) with an MPN overlap and some Myelofibrosis thrown in to the mix. A rare condition unfortunately! I’ll be staying mostly in the Sussex area so if anyone can suggest a specialist there or anywhere really, (I was hoping for a face to face consultation but I know that appointments via Zoom are available just about everywhere now), I’d be extremely grateful.

I was lucky enough to arrange an appointment with Dr Joel Newman who practices on the South Coast. He was amazingly easy to talk to and answered all my questions clearly and with no hint of jargon. He was smiley and made me feel very at ease so strongly recommend him to any in need. I am also officially in love with him but haven’t given him the good news yet.
