Good News for Platelet Count šŸ„³

If you get one for your son, make sure you put it on your contents insurance as they are very stealable. They arenā€™t cheap, but worth every penny. We donā€™t leave ours unattended and even padlock them at home. I got one with a top of the range motor and battery as I needed the extra assistance, but they come with several variations and prices. Your son will get about a lot quicker on one, as they are faster from AtoB than an ordinary bike.

Thanks for those tips, @Chris1. It would be brilliant if our son didnā€™t have to rely on us so much. And Iā€™d love the opportunity to whizz about the countryside like you do! Better than using theā€‹:oncoming_automobile: all the time. :slightly_smiling_face:

Go for it I say. Problem will be, your son will like it so much, you wonā€™t get a look in. :joy:

At least you will get a reprieve from being the 24/7 taxi service. Been there, done that, and worn out the tee shirt. Now my boys are doing it for their kids. Ha ha!!. Have a good weekend. :tulip:

:joy: we are on holiday for a few days in Devon. First time away since my diagnosis last October. The sun is shining and blue sky at the moment. We are both ready for some chill out time. :cake::spaghetti::bowl_with_spoon::shaved_ice::icecream:Being waited on I could get used to!!!

Aw, what a special holiday, @Chris1! It feels like getting back to a little bit of normality, doesnā€™t it, that first time away after diagnosis?

Have an absolutely wonderful break - you really deserve it after the very difficult times youā€™ve had. :clinking_glasses::champagne::sun_with_face:

PS Waving at you from neighbouring Cornwall!

Well done you. I love good blood results. They make you feel so clever donā€™t they just like passing an exam at school.

Itā€™s the good, sometimes bracing, west country air that helps @Chris1 and @Fullofbeans, my family in the west country as they say in Surrey.

Hi @Erica . I love Surrey too. But then I am biased, as I am from there originally. The countryside is amazing, and I used to horse ride at weekends back in my younger days, and spend hours just riding across the commons on the outskirts of Guildford. We went there last September for a week, and met up with two of my old school friends. It was while I was there that I got the phone call telling me that I had blood cancer. It put a bit of a dampener on our holiday.

It would seem that cycling is good for those of us fortunate enough to be able to do it. Pic of me racing in Norfolk on Good Friday

Well done @Matt_H . The cycling is certainly a very good way to help us keep as well as possible. I am able to cycle ok, but when I get off I am back to being a struggling to balance and walk old wreck. Did you win the race? I am happy just to cycle around the country lanes at my own pace. :bike:
