Hi , just been diagnosed with Chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL) ( at the beginning of September) on watch and wait but have been feeling really dizzy just wanted to ask if anyone else experienced this ?
Thank
Hi @DottieB a great big welcome and I am so glad that you have found us.
I also have Chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL) and I was diagnosed 19 yrs ago and I have always been on ‘watch and wait’ or ‘active monitoring’.
I remember that I was in shock and scared of the unknown for so long.
You ask about feeling really dizzy, I remember feeling dizzy and feint and I had a lot of problems standing for periods of time at work and travelling in crowded rush hours.
This has definitely improved a lot and I have learnt handy tricks like I am a great leaner and stand at the edges of crowds etc.
Fresh air and appropriate exercise helps me.
However perhaps it is worth telling your specialist nurse (if you have one), consultant or GP and ask them if they can help.
I believe in telling them of all symptoms, their severity and impact on your life.
I am not a medical person but I think what personally stresses me and anxiety can contribute to my symptoms.
Give yourself time to come to terms with your diagnosis.
I attach some relevant links from the Blood Cancer UK website for you.

Do you have support?
Be very kind to yourself and please keep posting as I look forward to hearing more about you.
Thank you so much for replying
It is a really strange feeling ,both the diagnosis and the dizziness.
I will ask my specialist nurse about it, thank you for your tips too …will try and remember them .
