Hi everyone, hope you are all as well as can be expected. Not posted for a long while, long story!!! But I have noticed lately that my taste buds have changed. I am finding everything very bland. On Hydroxycarbamide for about 8 months now. Can’t seem to find if this is a side effect. Anyone else getting this.
Hi @LynnB Good to hear from you again.
I hope others will be able to share their experiences with their changes of taste buds, but I reckon it is a good question for your specialist nurse or medical team
Please do let us know how you get on and really look after yourself.
Hi @Erica I’ve got an appointment in a couple of weeks, I was going to ask her about it. Just thought I’d see if anyone else had it. It may not be the hydroxycarbamide, I’ve been put on strong painkillers for a fractured pubic bone, no idea how I did that, as I haven’t fallen since September when I broke my hip! Hope you are well
Oh @LynnB breaking your hip and fracturing your pubic bone sound excruciating and debilitating to me.
I slightly fractured my pelvis before Christmas and I was in absolute agony, I could not stand, sit or lie. I really feel for you.
I have to say I feel yukky on strong painkillers and it must have been bad as I did not eat any chocolate over Christmas.
Be ever so kind to yourself.
Oh @Erica I was in Madeira and couldn’t walk, I had 2 doctors visit me in my room and the only way I could get to the bathroom was to walk bent in half and shuffle. We did make it out one night across the road and we both got food poisoning - honestly you couldn’t make it up! We’ve bought a wheelchair as I can’t really walk far., and we’ve had to cancel our return trip to Spain next month. It must’ve been bad if you didn’t eat chocolate over Christmas. I lost half a stone in two weeks, that was when we got home, my doctor was concerned at that and I’ve had every test available I think! x
Hi @LynnB.
