Myelofibrosis

I was diagnosed with essential thrombocytopenia about 8 years ago. The treatment has been Hydrea, to which a year ago was added Anagrelide. All has gone well throughout with quarterly reviews going well. At the latest review in early October the doctor thought my Essential thrombocythemia (ET) may have progressed to myelofibrosis and I have follow up blood tests and an ultrasound of the spleen next month. I’m naturally concerned but hip it’s still Essential thrombocythemia (ET).
Has anyone had similar issues?
Best wishes to all

Hi @Radius I haven’t had similar issues but it sounds as if you are in a time of waiting and not knowing what is and might happen or not.
What it does show is that your doctor is being thorough.
The Blood Cancer UK support line is there for you on 0808 2080 888 if you need them.
Others may be able to share their experiences on here
I think this limbo time is horrible, I know this is not easy, but try and divert your mind if you can.
Look after yourself and please do keep posting how you are getting on.
