Hi 2DB,
Thank you for your reply. Much appreciated.
I think I am at risk of ligh chain myeloma too.
I went to see an orthopedic doctor in Poland (privately, I’ve been living in England for over 15 years and don’t have any free medical cover in Poland). The orthopedic doctor made me super worry now. He wanted to send me to the hospital for a bone marrow biopsy ( on Saturday ). He used some terms which made me Google a lot of things at home.
I have a light chains paraprotein IgA. I think that puts me at high risk of aggressive myeloma with more mutations.
In the UK my hematologist told me nothing about my prognosis.
But what good came from me knowing more and worrying more?
The chest MRI was ok.
But I still went for a spinal MRI of the chest section.
Since Ive seen that orthopedic doctor I sleep badly.
My pain is constant and is present with every move.
And in addition, now I have to deal with that mental fear and stress.
Until now I was hopeful that if I should get to the MM stage I would get some treatments that would allow me to live for some years.
But now all seems much depressing.
Thank you again for your reply.
I hope that you will stay in the remission for many many years.
A.
